I like this a lot. Sivillo really portrays a poor person. This doesn't convince me though I still wouldn't give a poor person money. Thats just me though

This poster was done well and i can tell the artist put a lot of work into it. The picture goes very well with the persuasive theme. I think the photoshopping is a little fake looking, especially on the board to his right. He should have turned down the strength on the burn tool. Also, the text could have been more cool looking to put more of a depressing tone on the poster. Other than that the poster is very strong.

This is a very bad poster for many reasons. Yes most homeless need food but how do you no that they are not going to just go spend the money on things such as alcohol or drugs. So the message is very bad. Also the writing is very hard to read. I cant even read what the sign the homeless person is holding says. And the sign is placed in the center of the poster so it is the focus, and you cant even read what it says. It looks like the artist just spaced out the figures in such a way that the viewers eyes just go all over the paper and there is not one dominant figure that is being focused on. And the artist added black marks on the person to make them look dirty but it actually does not get that point across, it makes it look like a very fake photograph. Also there is no rhythm in recurring elements. Overall the poster just doesn't work and should be changed greatly.

i do not like this poster. The homeless person does not even look homeless. He is wearing athletic shorts, and the "dirt" on his legs and fingers just looks like a poor use of the burn tool. The font almost touching a finger at the top is a large tension area and the font in general doesn't work. The color of the font works but the style does not. Also the message does not persuade me to give to poor people. It says everyone wants some food, but how do we know these homeless people aren't just going to buy drugs or alcohol? I also feel like i have seen a very similar poster used by a student in computer art which makes this pretty unoriginal. The best element of the entire poster is the person posing with the money, because they have a clear intent and their brightness really lightens up such a dull poster. The paper towel that "spare change" is written on looks unrealistic and the fading in the poster really does not work well. I think with a great deal of reworking and maybe a much better use of the burn tool this person could have been mildly successful.

i really really dislike this poster. just because people WANT some food does not mean they should just be given money. i could say right now that i am hungry and based on this poster i should be handed dollar after dollar. i think they should have changed the wording and re thought their position on the issue. the person holding the cup begging for money looks a little too young anyway. you don't see people like that on the streets. i guess the way it flows is good but only because of the person handing him the money. more could definitely be done to make this better. another thing i don't understand is why does the sign have misspelled words too. i thought this was for hungry people not illiterates. besides those points i think the poster looks nice. the color in it is not too too bad.

This poster is done nicely, but it dose not seem like person looks homeless. I also agree with Lauren the air brushing dose not look real. I also think that the text could be better. The text just needs to be placed in a different spot. But over all it dose not convince me.

He did a good job with using tools to make the person look homeless and realistic. However, I think that the use of the air brush tool could be better to make it even more real. The picture is taken at a good angle and shows good spatial organization. The balance of the people and objects are good but i think the text could have been bigger and a different color for emphasis. The overall composition is succesful because all parts of the poster come together as one. I like the picture and the overall idea.
