i think this is a great poster! i think that even though it has a serious message, you kept an upbeat vibe, one that is almost playful and innocent, like children are. i think the picture of the boy was a good choice for the dominant shape. i think the poster is balanced well, but i think the puzzle pieces on the side competes a little with the boy. but overall it has good composition, and is a great poster!!! :)
I think this poster has a strong message but failed to persuade me to do something at first glance. I eventually noticed the donate for a cure, but I think it should be bigger and positioned in an obvious place. This is an important component to the poster and should be more dominant. I really liked what you did with the colored puzzle pieces, it added an interesting, texturized element to the poster. Also, your use of filters and grayscale with the photo really brought emotion into the poster and made it more persuasive. This was a unique topic to choose and overall a strong composition.
good job. the balance of everything works together. the use of the puzzles pieces down the side of the poster makes your eyes go all the way down. and the use of the picture of your brother helps get your point across better. i like the way that you edited the picture of tommy. the balance of the colors works together. it sorta looks like tommy's head is floating in the middle of nowhere, so if there was a way to make that look more fitting into the paper then it would be better. other than good job overall. by weinkauf
