i like this poster a lot also. she really portrays her message through her type by saying ever animal needs a friend and to adopt an animal. she also used dominance in the photo by making the photo of the dog very large compared to everything else. the dog is in the center left of the poster which also helps make it successful because it gives some negative space for type and background. she also used proportion in the poster. by having the photo of the dog be so large, and the type as a medium size they have proportion. if she didnt have good proportion in this poster i dont think it would have worked like it does. the proportion and dominance make this poster work.
I think that this is a overall sucessful poster. The dog is the main emphasis on the poster which helps get the message across, that we should adopt a pet. The balance of color in the composition is pretty good, i just think that you should have adjusted the color on the dog a little more maybe like the levels of it. there is balance in the poster it flows from the dog to the type well. The type in the poster fits the topic well , and overall i think that it persuaded me to want to adopt a pet.
If i were to see this, I would adopt a pet dog in a second. I like how the dominance of the dog is very large and grabs the attention of people. the rhythm is very clear and the balance between the dog and text really work together. the proportion and use of negative space are equal in space and the words "every animal needs a friend" is very persuasive and makes you want to give a loving dog a family. maybe adjusting the levels of the dog would of made it more clear and dominating.
I believe that this is one of the stronger compositions out there. It clearly hows what it is trying to portray, and the dominance of the dog attracts your attention. Also, it is very simple, which makes it appealing, and does a good job of keeping space between the characters on the pag.
