Support Gay marriage

I disagree completely with what you have made. But i am glad you made it. First you have the wrong definition of the word marriage. It is a religious institution between a Man and a Woman. Second marriages happen in a Church. And if the Church follows the Bible it would be fully aware that homosexuality is a sin, detested by God, as all sins are. So religious institutions should not allow homosexual/lesbian marriages. So it is our choice in the matter. Outside of that i think this is a really strong poster. I like how you "pinked" important words in the false definition of marriage. The hands making a heart, and then you manipulating the hands to show the gay rights colors, was good. I liked how you get the background white, and the bold border. It's a strong poster, but i disagree with it, nice job

i agree with your persuasive poster. i think you did a good job with how the colors flow together and that they support gay marriage. i like how you put the definition on the poster and how it is in the font of the words in the dictionary.i like how you also bolded and made the more important words in the dictionary definition. i think that if you would have made those words bigger and bolder it would look better. i think that this was a really good job. but you could probably do a little more with the hands and the colors to make them stand out a little more. overall i think you did a good job on your persuasive poster. good job.

This is an excellent composition mainly due to spatial organization. The dominant hands on the white background gives the poster a three dimensional feel. The amount of negative space also makes the poster attractive and easy to look at, allowing its message to reach the viewer. The rainbow-colored hands give the poster balance and rhythm that further in enhance the composition. In addition, the use of the rainbow hands forming a heart is very creative and is highly effective in demonstrating the poster's message. However, I do not think it was a good idea to create a fake dictionary definition. Dictionary definitions are fact, not opinion. It would have solidified your argument if the definition was based on fact.

This is one of my favorite posters. it is not like any of the other ones and it is very effective. it catches your eye very quickly with the dominant figure, which is the two rainbow hands. The white space helps to balance out the dominance of the hands. making the hands rainbow makes them stick out even more and helps give across the message of allowing gay marriage. having the definition of marriage makes it even stronger and i thought the composition was good by making important words pink. the hands give the poster depth and dimension. The last line of the poster really gets peoples attention becasue it is thier choice and not everyone elses. this poster is really strong and it is a hard topic to do but i feel like the person really captured what they needed to get people to stop and look.

I really like this poster. one, because it caught my attention right away. The dominant figure of the hands making a heart really fits well with the message you're trying to get across. And i liked that they're rainbow colored, it shows that you're trying to convince your audience that gay marriage is right. The definition at the top brings the whole poster together. and i also like the "pinked out" words. They stand out and make your point mroe clear. And clay, you dont have to diss her poster just because you don't have the same beliefs as she does. the slogan at the bottom "it's their choice, not ours" is very clever. The balance and spatial organization works well and the recurrance of the color pink is great too. overall, GREAT JOB! :]

This is probably my favorite poster, the use of negitive space is really good and it makes the image and words pop out at the veiwer. the color manipulation of the hands is well done, however when you look closer at the hands you can tell that they are cropped out; there are parts missing from the hand that you can't tell from far away- up close you can tell. the manipulation of the definition of marriage is interesting, and is a good argument starter. i think it helps make people think about what your poster is saying. the font changing is a nice touch, a lot of people cannot change between fonts well, but i think it works for the poster. Overall, nice job.

This is one of my favorite posters. I have many gay friends so i support gay marriage which is another reason why i like it. Using the defintion of something in a poster is pretty much throwing it right out there what you meen to say so thats always a plus. It is true that it is the person choice to marry the same sex if they would like not someone elses. If you lvoe someone you love someone theres nothing wrong with that even if they are the same sex as you. I like the idea of using a rainbow array of colors to announciate the fact of thats a national symbol for homosexual. and being based around a heart is nice as well since hearts represent love and in this case marriage.

beautiful! this poster says it all! i love how you defined marraige! it shows people that marraige is not defined heterosexual! the hands making a heart are what caught my eye and the fact that they are random immediatly told me the topic of this poster. great job! keep up the good work!!!

THIS IS MY FAVORITE POSTER! it is so simple yet it says so much to the person looking at it. however you have to have an open mind when you first look at it, people can not get caught up in the religious part of this. Who cares if i goes againist your religion, what if it was you who wanted to be married, and you parents completely shamed you for it, then you would want it to be okay, even if you were raised up by religious parents, and customs. This poster truely catches the eye, with the bright colors, and the open space. With the open space it allows people to think much more clearly, and they can get fully grasp the concept about what it really means! The love the definition of marriage on there too, i think the way poster is laid out, is perfect! don't change a thing! i absolutely love this poster.!

Kristen, great job! I think that this is the best poster here. I like the white background, the choice of color in your text, and the rainbow colors on the hands. Using the hands in the heart shape was a great idea. The font and and spacing was used well, and it flows good. The only part i would fix is the saying on the bottom. I don't like it in the corner i think it could be moved elsewhere but everything else is great. It get's the message across very well. Good job

although i somewhat agree with what clay said, this assignment was to critique the ARTWORK not to analyze and debate personal feelings and i cant deny that this is an excellent persuasive poster. i think that the definition at the top is very powerful and it immediately draws the viewers attention. Also there is a great flow of negative space and the repetition of the pink throughout it is great. Also the two painted hands forming a heart is very effective at drawing attention and getting the message across. Also the words at the bottom clarify and finish the poster. Overall this is one of the best posters i've seen on this site.

I think this is one of the better posters overall, because the spacial organization works great, and the proportions of the text are just right. The colors on the hands are good tones of each color of the rainbow, each color is bright and each color pops. If I would change anything, it would be the font of the phrase at the bottom, but the one you have now is ok. The thing that makes this poster work is the negative space, which makes it a simple poster that still gets the message across.
