The main image is fantastic. The praying woman with the flag over her hand worked incredibly well. I also like the spot where this image is, it works well with the poster all together. I'm not entirely sure about the flag behind her though. It seems out of place somehow, perhaps maybe soften the layer a bit? And the text and sayings don't really match with it at all. The colors don't flow and the text doesn't inspire me at all. Also the placement of the text, it might be better to have it a little closer together and maybe take out "the peaceful choice" all together. Red text is also really overused and it didn't capture me in this picture. The main focus I think should be on the image, but you're not able to because it competes with the red and black bold text. You want to get your opinion through, but use the images to your advantage, not the text, sometimes text doesn't say anything at all. But overall, one of the best images in my opinion.

Personally i think this is one of the better posters in the class. the use of the american flag merged into the hand of mother terisa gives the image a strong effect that draws your eye tword the iraq flag. The text is very bold and straight forward giving your opinion. However it is off base by saying that "it is a peaceful choice" because if you take a look at how many American soldiers have died from the WAR it does not seam to peaceful. Also if you take a look at iraq as of right now it does not seam to be to much of a peaceful place. The picture placement is also some what thrown off by the black of the iraq flag almost mixed with mother terica's shirt. The colors clash with different shades. I do like that the picture of mother terica is very large and it takes up most of the poster. The text placement is also good except that it cold possibly be larger or more dominent. The white back round is very dominant. Over all it is a very good poster, it gets the point across and is intesting to look at.

I think this poster is very strong. it is mainly because of the images you chose. the woman with the amerian flag over her hand is very strong. the fact that it is so large and in the corner is good too. her hands are praying and pointed towards your words drawing my eye. the only thing i didnt really like was teh text color choices

This is one fo the best posters in the class. The overall picture is great! The merging you did with the hands and the american flag makes it look very realistic. The message that is being sent to viewers is very dominant. I enjoy this poster because it is straight and too the point. There is not too much texting nor too little. The only thing that i did not like about this poster was that i think the "peaceful choice and" was a little too small. I know that, that text was not suppose to be the more dominant but i really think if it was larger it would have worked more the the poster. Where you placed the woman makes the poster stand out.

Your colors fit perfectly, the reds, green, and black all give the poster a stong feeling of balance. This poster is very persuassive and it makes me stongly agree with your choice on iraq. Very nice job.

The focal point of this poster is amazing. The placement of the woman on the left, the text to her right is perfect for this poster. The spatial organization is done very well because of the placement of the text and the image in the right spaces. the dominance is obviously the woman and the flag is too but less in the background. The proportion is also very good because of how the flag appears to be in the distance. I think the text is actually used very well because it incorporated the photos into the colors of the text which makes it agree with the poster. it helps the flow alot because of how it is portrayed. The flag on the woman's hand is my favorite because it really gives that little extra something to make this poster very very graphically interesting.

This poster i would have to say is my favorite because it really persuaded me to consider being in Iraq as the right choice. This poster was my favorite and very well done.

I think the image you chose is a very strong and powerful choice. I love how the hand has the flag over it like a glove. If you did that on your own that is very impressive. The black and white person combined with the colored flag was a good choice of color because it is well balanced. I like the proportions of the old lady combined with the text. The largeness of the figure dominates the picture (but in a good way) and the hands bring your eye up to the text, so there's a good use of rhthym there.

The text to me though is alright. I like how you used different fonts, and how peaceful was a little more light and flowy, however overall the text doesn't work. I like how you used the colors of their flag for your text, but i think it's a little bit repetitive with the flag right below it, so I could have gone without the flag.

Overall I like this poster and the design. The picture is so powerful and immediately draws me in. I can clearly see what your opinion is and how it could persuade me. I think this poster was succesful.

i agree that this is one of the strong posters in the class. i really like how the flag is on the persons hand respresenting America. Also the picture is good because it is not centered, it is to the left. The Iraq flag also helps notice that you want to help save Iraq. "The right choice" stands out strong which helps get your point across. The fonts are all different styles and colors which draws my attention as well. I think this is a good example of a persuasive poster, and shows to have a lot of work into it. Overall i like this a lot!

This by far was my favorite poster done. The picture of the women stirs a lot of emotion especially adding the American flag over the hands. At first i was uneasy about the text color but then decided that it fit very well. The picture placement is also perfect. Overall there is very little i could add for improvement except maybe a different font of text. Again this was my favorite poster done.

I think this poster was one of the stronger ones in the class. I like the balance and the colors used.
The pictures used were strong and i like how the american flag is over the hand. I also liked that he used a black and white photo this helped the rest of the poster stand out. The placement of the pictures was also done nicely. The pictures and colors used really create a nice balance for this poster. The font was okay i think it could have been stronger but it gets the point across.
I also liked the negative spacing used it worked well with this poster.
I think he did a good job with the message of his poster. It was short but got right to the point.

I felt that this was one of the better posters in the class. I was immediately drawn in by the image of the woman praying, it definitely makes the poster what it is. I think the reason it is so effective is because it justifies the point you are making through your text, showing the viewer that a (Iraqi, or at least it comes off that way) woman is praying with rosary in hand, her hands shown as the American flag. I also really like that the image of the woman is just of the woman - there is no background to it, and i always feel that pictures like that help the balance and the composition of the poster. Also, most of the woman is off the poster, so it adds a great lead-in.
To me, the text is decent - the three different fonts bother me a little bit because the three lines don't have much in common (especially since they're different colors and sizes as well.) I like that THE RIGHT CHOICE is the boldest and the sharpest to help your point across, and that each of the three colored lines of text match the Iraqi flag.
Overall, the poster converts my thinking on the war in Iraq, which is what the goal was. The combination of the text and the image work to powerfully convey your message. Nice job. :)

This is good example of internal structure and use of white. I commend you on this as i assume 3/4 of your class doesn't get it. I have a few suggestions that will make this even stronger. Change the spacing (linewise) in-between Saving and Iraq. Having these a little bit closer will make the Headline of this a tad stronger, and increase the white area (white space=good space). You should definitely get rid of the and in the green text and play around with the position and maybe font. It's not the worst but by far the best fit. try www.abstractfonts.com if you can't find a nice fit on the mac you work on. One last thing is on the flag on the hand. You dropped the opacity, but also play around with the fill. A lot of people don't know about this, but it acts in a similar way to opacity but not quite the same. Also I think by making the flag on the hand B&W may help it go with the praying lady more.

THIS IS THE BEST POSTER! the use of the american flag completes the image, the placement of mother t makes the poster very balenced. the only possible problem may be he iraq flag. The text is used very well to compare to the iraq flag it flows very well the placement and use of white makes the image very attractive to the eye. the spacial orginization is perfect great job

i think this poster is one of the strongest too. i think it took alot of time to make flag in the hand. the text is doen really well the way the cloors and having the saving irag as the domiant of all of the text . my opinion wound be too maybe make the irag flag a little bit better and maybe the white space just at the top it makes it look a little bit heavy on the left side of the poster. the praying man really made sure the message was said that ir aq maybe isnt the best decision for the country. the picture is very good for this

After browsing all 23 of the works, i felt this poster was one of the strongest. At first glance I noticed praying Mother Teresa with an American flag Over her hands. The face is turned allowing the eye to automatically look toword the text and the Irag flag. In this case you are able to notice the objective of the persuasive poster, "Saving Iraq". I think that the texts work with their colors, although could be altered in font. Also, you should have been separated and from the green text to show separation, making it more noticeable and strong. I like how Mother Teresa is in black and white, which allow the colors to pop. The white space seems to work well for the poster, adding color in the space would have taken away from the lool and font font of the image. Overall, this is very persuasive. It forces you to think about what your looking at, therefore being a successful poster.

This was one of my favorite posters mainly because the picture was so orginal and my own. I think the flag behind her should be put into a different perspective, though. It drags your eye from the emotion of the old women, to a flag, which has hardly enough emotion. the flag on her hands work very well with the picture. I think that since your picture is facing the text, it completely drags me into the text.I think you could have made the red text a different color because it doesn't work well with this picture Overall i think this poster meets the goal to make his point about the war.
