This persuasive poster is one that really gets gets the point across. i know exactly what your issue is and i know exactly where you stand on it.
Making the photo black and white and the writing red shows me the importance of this issue. The red stands out against the black and white which makes the message stand out more than the photo.
Repeating the picture on the other part of the page really gives the poster a good sense of balance. The placement of the writing works well with the pictures in giving it more balance.
I feel like this poster does indeed get the point across about keeping abortion legal. I also think that abortion should stay legal beause when you read the top it says "She was thirteen when her bofriend forced her into having sex"
I felt like the text use went real well with the picture because the picture is black and white, while the text is red. Making the text red implies the importance of the topic, and I think that was the proper text color to use.
The picture use was very well in this poster as well. Repeating the picture showed great balance. The picture also goes real well with the topic.
I felt that this poster was one of my favorites because of how well it portrays the issue. It lacks shock value because no text exactly stands out and no text says 'I am the most important part of this piece'. But, besides that, the color choices are very good and it feels very well spaces because the main image is cut out again on the left and it is very effective. The best part of it is where it says 'she was 13 when her bf forced her into havin g sex' because it puts you in the place of the girls. It makes you feel like you are in the positions of the girl way more than most posters would. That part I think is really great. I think if the text that says 'KEEP ABORTION LEGAL' stood out more, this could be a rediculously good poster
I think that this poster really is getting the point across. The balance of the poster was done very well with the text going up and down the side, along with the top and bottom text, and the text in the middle. I like how she repeated half of the picture too, that seemed to give it a sense of balance also. I like the text on the top because that gives the viewer a reason to choose pro choice. The text on the bottom seems very firm and to the point. I like how the pictures were black and white and then the font was red. The underline of red under the "Keep Abortion Legal" really brings together the picture. Overall it looks very finished and well done.
This poster grabs my attention. The picture in the background is strong and gives the viewer a distraught feeling. I clearly understand her viewpoint on the issue, "Keeping Abortion Legal". The background picture catches the viewers eye to the point that the text on the top of the poster is weak and unnoticed. The way that the background picture is split up within the poster doesn't seem to work well or make good sense. I feel that the poster is too much directed towards women, with the woman in the background and the pink text. I do understand that abortions do affect the female sex, however men are much apart of the issue, and their views also count. I do notice the point made that, "She was thirteen when her boyfriend forced her into having sex". This puts everything in persepective. The underlined and capitalized, "Keep Abortion Legal", is strong and leaves the veiwer remembering the objective of the poster. If you would have incorporated the point that you had made, "What if a girl was raped", the poster would be stronger. The poster is well balanced however, correctly, i'm not sure about. Overall this was a very emotional poster and issue, shown throughout. Well done.
This poster was one of the first to catch my eye while going through all of them. I really like it and feel it was done incredibly well. Mainly I like the image that was used, especially the reflection of the image on the side, yet it's not symmetrical. It also gives off a strong emotional feel to it. The text might not be exactly flowing, but it still does help grab attention, maybe not the "pro choice" on the side, but the rest does very well. I didn't even realize the text at the top of the image until I looked at it a couple times, and it might be better without. It's definitely a good persuasion though.
Very original! This design is very strong and has an equally strong color scheme to it. The repetition of the picture is a very good idea. Repeating a design element (whether it's a picture, color, font, etc.) can be extremely effective in establishing a hierarchy in a design. I do have several suggestions to make this even better though. At the very top, use a less bold font, or just make that one smaller. Also, i think if you would move the I in Pro choice over so it is centered with the rest of the words, it would fit better. Right now it seems a bit awkward. Finally, make the pink line at the bottom centered with the text right above it.
